Ruca Malen Yauquén Malbec Cabernet Sauvignon 2006
This is a blend of 50% each of Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon, the fruit coming from their vineyards in Mendoza. The wine was aged in oak barrels for seven months and then in bottle for another four months before it was released. The wine is dark ruby in color with violet nuances. The nose displays a fruity aromatic framework dominated by ripe aromas of blackcurrants, strawberries, and raspberries. On the palate the initial impression is soft fruity flavors of red currents and sloe berries, the finish is long, lingering, and spicy with delicate wood. Serve with a roast pork chop,grilled beef, or pasta. |
